• Description:

A licensed registered nurse who, because of specialized education and experience, is authorized to perform medical diagnosis and to prescribe medical, therapeutic, or corrective measures. May practice as a nurse practitioner, certified nurse midwife, certified nurse anesthetist, or clinical nurse specialist in psychiatric or mental health nursing.
