Once each year, historical labor force, employment and unemployment estimates are revised to reflect updated input data. As part of this procedure, all of the state and substate models are reviewed, revised as necessary, and then reestimated.
These updates incorporate any changes in the inputs, such as revisions to establishment-based employment estimates or UI claims data. Revised substate estimates are also readjusted to the latest statewide estimates of employment and unemployment.
