  • Education and knowledge open a wide variety of doors, enhancing your chances of finding a career you truly enjoy.
  • Earnings go up with every year of school completed.
  • More education or training equals fewer spells of unemployment.
  • Earnings jump up when a degree or certificate program is completed.
  • Education pays off because more educated workers learn tasks more easily and are better organized.
  • Remember that the occupation you choose will make a definite difference in your earning capacity. Degree or no degree.

What type of education and/or training do you need?

Another way is to check out the education requirements of an actual job opening listed at VermontJobLink, in a newspaper such as the Burlington Free Press, or at America's Job Bank.
